Healing from God
One of the challenges people face today in the world is sickness, many are leaving in fear, rejection and anxiety because of a medical report, or because of what they where told by the doctor.
But you have to know that healing can come from God, God can heal. and Gods healing is permanent.
“Then they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction”. Psalm 107:19-20 (KJV).
Sickness and diseases is not the will of God for you, that is why when Jesus was on earth, majority of the miracles Jesus did was healing, And when Jesus died on the cross, He paid for our healing on the cross. Jesus carried our diseases to the Cross.
“But He was wounded for our sins, broken for our iniquities, the chastisement that gives us peace fell upon Him, and by His stripes, we are healed. ” Isaiah 53: 5 (KJV)
This scripture was a prophecy by prophet Isaiah of what Jesus is going to do on the cross, that by his stripes (beatings) you are healed. when Jesus finished his work on the cross, our sickness was paid for by him. After Jesus death Peter the Apostle said this;
“Who is own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sin should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes ye were healed” 1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)
So peter confirm that we are already healed, Jesus has paid the price. So sickness is not God’s will for us, nor punishment for past faults.
God has done everything for your healing, you need to receive your healing. God wants you to live in Good health.
How to Receive Healing From God
- You need to Receive Gods Forgiveness: God has already forgiven you your sins but need to receive that forgivenes by coming to God for mercy and being born again.
There are some healing Jesus will perform why he was on earth, he would order the sick people to go “for their sins are forgiven”, example is the story of the paralytic in Luke 5: 17-26
Also in Scripture said “It is He who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases”. Psalm 103: 3 (KJV)
Sin can cause sickness because the wages of sin is death. even the psalmist said ” before I was afflicted, I went astray” Psalm 119:57 (KJV). You must know what cause that sickness spiritually, is it because you have sinned against God or disobey his ordinance. But if is sin that is the cause of your sickness, I have a word for you. Scripture said “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. “ 1 John 1: 9 (KJV). you have to ask God for forgiveness by confessing your sins to God, and asking him to heal you.
- Matured in Christ Praying for You : Another way to receive healing is when you are ministered to in prayer by the elders( Those who are matured in Christ, or those who are leaders or shepherd in the church) “If any of you is sick, let him call for the elders of the church. They will pray for him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer made in faith will save the person and the Lord will raise them. And if this person has committed sins, he will be forgiven ”James 5: 14-15 (KJV). Often time when we are sick we keep it to our self, we don’t know how to relate it to our prayer partners, pastors or leaders to join us in prayers. And if we keep it to our selfs and our faith is not strong enough to bring the healing, we may remain in that condition. Group prayer works and it helps. And that Group prayer must be done in faith, without faith it won’t work. It is a prayer done in faith that works.
- Faith: Faith is the strongest acts that brings healing from God, God heals those who has faith. Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa of Blessed Memories said “if your faith says yes, God will not say no”.
No matter what you do for your healing, you need to do it in Faith. Jesus said to the woman, “You are made whole because of your faith.” Mark 5:34 (KJV). If you study the healing of Jesus, before Jesus heals anyone, he always ask them if they have faith by saying “do you believe”.

“Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.”

Prayer: May God Grant you healing in Jesus name, I pray every spirit of sickness in your body is cast out in Jesus name. The lord Jesus Visit you and heal you now in Jesus name Amen.
