QUALIFICATIONS

Professor (CONUASS 7)

– Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree or equivalent Professional Fellowship in the relevant discipline (FWACS,
FMCS, FMCOG and their equivalent from a recognized University.
– Other requirements as stated in the University of Calabar Conditions of Service.

Reader (CONUASS 6)

– Candidates for the post should have had three (3) years experience as Senior Lecturer in a recognized University
or Institutions of similar status. Account will be taken of contributions to teaching in the University and
community service.
– A Ph.D degree or equivalent Professional Fellowship in the relevant discipline (FWACS, FMCS, FMCOG and their
equivalent) from a recognized University.
– Other requirements as stated in the University of Calabar Conditions of Service

Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 5)

– Candidates for the post must have served for three (3) years as Lecturer I or equivalent in a recognized
University or Institution of similar status
– Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree or equivalent Professional Fellowship in the relevant discipline.
– Other requirements as stated in the University of Calabar Conditions of Service.

Lecturer I (CONUASS 4)

– Candidates for the post should possess a Ph.D degree or equivalent and should have served for three (3) years as
Lecturer II in the University or an Institution of similar status such as a Research Institution or had relevant
Professorial experience in a similar Institution.
– Other requirements as stated in the University of Calabar Conditions of Service.

Lecturer II (CONUASS 3)

– Candidates for the post should possess a Ph.D degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of four (4) years post
qualification teaching experience as Assistant Lecturer in a recognized University or Institution of similar status.
– Other requirements as stated in the University of Calabar Conditions of Service.

Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 2)

– Candidates for the post should possess a minimum basic qualification of Master’s degree with course work and
thesis in the subject of specialization in which candidate is seeking appointment.
– Other requirement as stated in the University of Calabar Conditions of Service.
